Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Virtual Worlds

Should AI be involved in all Metaverse aspects or just some?

What’s up, MetaverseBay here.

We share what newcomers should know, what experts can be updated on, and what everyone might find interesting.

Let’s get down to it.

Keep up the steady pace!

This week brings us AI in the Metaverse.

The Metaverse’s best friend or its path to destruction, let’s find out.

From building platforms, filling spaces, and being a teller of history, AI can turn dreams into reality and launch the future.

Let’s take a look into thoughts and insights.

A recent addition to our newsletter is our Metaverse Liveliness Index.

It gives us an idea of public interest in the metaverse and how relevant it is at this moment in time.

In the coming weeks we will post an article explaining the index in depth.

This week brough us a 1 point boost in the liveliness level.

Google and Twitter trends saw the greatest increase in strength over the past week while the value of a token index we track saw the only negative change.

What does this mean?

It could mean public interest is there but people aren’t quite ready to invest. Maybe some are even pulling money out for now to wait for what they think is a better time.

As we track data more we can better estimate how strong interest really is.

Up this week is Machine Translation.

Machine Translation makes it possible for text to be instantly translated without human involvement.

If you’re a user in Poland and bump into one from Mexico.

If there’s no common language communication isn’t impossible. This aspect of AI can instantly translate Polish into Spanish and vice versa.

Now everyone is welcome and can communicate!

A Builder or Destroyer?

We kicked off this week getting the thoughts and opinions of speakers and guests on the synergy between AI and the Metaverse.

One sees the Metaverse as the base layer and AI as the builder of everything on it.

We can fill social spaces so there’s more avatars to interact with, use NPCs for jobs in shops, or even use learning to improve on and create games/experiences.

Looking behind the scenes it can be a tool for event planning or governance.

By feeding in data from this year’s latest virtual fashion show, we can have an AI set up everything next year and even create new games for visitors.

On a potentially bad note we can use it for governance purposes.

A founding principal of the metaverse was the principle that it is user run and governed.

Would taking away governance rights form users and giving them to an AI be fair?

The final note gathered thoughts on how AI can help developers and create a future for the space.

Our speakers gave several insightful thoughts.

The first is simple. As noted earlier AI can create events, games, and experiences based off programmer input and user feedback.

NPCs can offer 24/7 interaction so we’re never alone. Who knows? Maybe once enough human users get on the need for NPCs will go away.

Have you had an AI NPC interaction? What are your thoughts on the impact of AI in the metaverse?

Comment on the video with your thoughts and experiences and we’ll discuss!

AI Comes to Online Teaching
Language schools see the effects

Our speakers this week loved the potential for AI to build educational experiences for students of all ages.

We can relive major historical events or recreate an era and allow students to interact with people who lived at that time.

AI NPCs in the space could answer questions like “Where do you get fruit?” or “How do you stay warm in winter?”.

In higher education, medical students can have a risk-free space for traumatic injury treatment.

The potential is limitless.

We appreciate your feedback!
