These are simply processing fees paid whenever a crypto transaction is carried out. 

Depending on network congestion they can be a few cents or even several dollars. 

These fees go to pay for the cost of energy used in processing the payment and go to the miners/stakers who validate the transaction. 

Digital Twins: Better Cities & Saving Lives

Digital twins can do much more than diagnose a broken machine part. They’re actively taking a hand in urban planning and personalized cancer treatments.

Digital twins have seen positive results with one of the most important aspects of urban planning, water management.

Using digital models, urban planners can better determine how to best design sewage systems, plan for various types of weather events, and optimize drainage. 

Below is a screenshot of a model where potential flooding can be mapped to assist with city planning. 

Looking into less conventional use cases of digital twins huge strides have been made in Spain. The technology has shown promise in treating breast cancer. 

By inputting genetic, physiological, and behavioral data, a “digital twin” or model of the patient is made. 

This information is fed into an AI to simulate countless trajectories and treatments. This data can then help determine the best treatment option for each patient.

A whitepaper is an informational document released by a company or organization highlighting the features of what they plan to release, what problems it will solve, and all it will offer. 

For example, when Ethereum announced “The Merge” aka their switch from the PoW consensus mechanism to PoS, they released a whitepaper on it. 

The paper reviewed what they were doing, how it would affect the blockchain, and why it was necessary. 

These papers serve to give investors and the public information about a product so they can be aware of how it will work and why they need it.
